Chelsey Kornegay – Registered Dental Hygienist
I am from Raeford, NC, but currently live in Hope Mills with my husband and four dogs. I have a BA in Studio Art with a concentration in graphic arts and printmaking from UNC Pembroke. I worked in graphic design for about three years before I decided to go back to school at FTCC for my AAS in Dental Hygiene. I am passionate about providing quality healthcare for my patients and making sure they have a good experience at the dental office. I can’t wait to see you at your next visit!
I grew up around the country as part of a military family, but I have called Fayetteville, home, for the past 15 years. I earned my BS in Biology with a concentration in healthcare, and a minor in chemistry from Methodist University in 2020, and I am currently working on applying to dental school. In my time off, I am most likely at Target or Starbucks, spending time with my niece, or my dog, Phineas.
I’m a DAII of 16 years. Sweet Carolina is my home. I graduated from the KS School of Dental Assisting, and have an Associate in Science from Barton Community College. I’ve successfully serviced members of our military all over the United States, and worked in Brunswick County jail serving inmates for several years. I love having opportunities to make you smile and feel comfortable having dental work done. I pass time as one of Fayetteville’s local artists, and was published in the City View July 2022 issue. You can also spot me painting faces, out with my two children and two dogs. I believe there is always something to learn and I’m passionate about trying new things and exploring. Camping, hiking, paddle boarding, baking and gardening are some of my other favorite pastimes.

I have an Associate Degree from FTCC in Medical Office Administration. I have been a member of our team for 17 years. Since dental insurance can be confusing, I take pride in helping our patients to understand and maximize their benefits. Developing a lasting relationship with our patients is very rewarding to me. I love this practice and I am sure you will too. My husband and I have been married for over 43 blessed years. We have two wonderful grown sons, an awesome daughter-in-law, four beautiful grandkids, and a miniature pinscher, Caesar, who gets his teeth cleaned too!
